FORMER Scottish Cup winner Billy Thomson believes his improving young Kilwinning Rangers side stand a fighting chance of upsetting North Ayrshire rivals Kilbirnie Ladeside in the third round of the national competition after achieveing one of their best results of the campaign.

The Buffs boss was delighted as his troops toppled leaders Kello Rovers 3-2 in the Stagecoach Ayrshire District League to chalk up their third win in four games and move right back into promotion contention.

Now he is positively relishing the Emirates Scottish Junior Cup showdown at Valefield park.

See the Times for his interview this week.
