BRIAN'S BRACE BEATS GLENS
DOUBLE dazzler Brian McGinty set his sights on helping red-hot trophy favourites IRVINE MEADOW land the Emirates Scottish Cup after his match-winning performance helped them coast into the quarter-finals on Saturday.
And the ex-St Mirren, Cumnock and Rangers ace, who netted two first half wonder goals in the 2-0 last 16 triumph against Rutherglen Glencairn, is going all out to turn the tables on Super Premier Division rivals Largs Thistle, who visit Meadow Park for an intriguing quarter-final on Saturday.
Boss Chris Strain also has his eye on the big prize but is warning his side, quoted at 2-1 favourites to land the top honour and 7-4 to defeat Largs that they face a stern task as they bid to blast into the semi-finals for the first time since losing to Bathgate at Firhill four years ago.
