BUFFS LOSE OUT DESPITE DECENT PERFORMANCE

UPBEAT KILWINNING RANGERS boss Billy Thomson heaped praise on his team after they produced a battling display against higher league side Petershill, despite going down 3-1 at Springburn on Saturday.

And he was most impressed with the performance of new signing, midfielder and Scottish Junior Cup winner Stewart Maxwell, who set up Buffs' goal in the game which was switched from Abbey Park to Glasgow, owing to confusion among both where it was supposed to be played.
