KILWINNING TEAM IN GOOD SHAPE FOR CAMPAIGN

KILWINNING boss Billy Thomson saw his side pick up their first silverware of the season - and reckons it has them in good shape for the start of the campaign.

Thomson says the pre-season Shettleston tournament, which the Buffs won after a 1-0 victory over the hosts and a penalty shoot-out triumph over Cumbernauld United, was a great work-out for his squad.

And he believes the Ardagh Glass Cup group games will further prepare his side for their return to the Super League.
