THE sun is finally breaking through the clouds at Kilmarnock's out-of-town training complex in Glasgow and new boss Mixu Paatelainen has just finished the first of a stamina-sapping double session with his players.

In an interview with Stewart McConnell, the manager said: "The fitness levels were possibly not quite as high as I thought at first but ever since day one the players have been totally committed and they are giving 100 percent, everyone's attitude has been first class."

The new manager has no doubt where the team's weaknesses lie and is intent on rectifying them.

See this week's Irvine Times for the full interview.
