MEADOW'S 11-GOAL WIN

EMILIO Jaconelli was the man of the match with his early quick-fire hat-trick that helped to give Irvine Meadow an astounding 11 goal win over rivals Ardeer Thistle who failed to score a single goal.

The home side, perhaps stung by the close call Saltcoats gave them in midweek, were relentless in pursuit of what turned out to be a resounding victory in the sunshine.

Manager Chris Strain said: "The goals were spread among the team and that was particularly pleasing, especially as I changed the team about."
