IRVINE VICS CHALK UP THEIR THIRD WIN IN FOUR GAMES

FORM team Vics chalked up their third win in four games as they saw off spirited 10-man Lugar in their first competitive match in five weeks.

Vics passed up an early opportunity when Bobby Colligan fired wide from close range before Ben Carson was unable to capitalise on an error by keeper Jonathan Lopez as he too sent the ball past the post.

Lugar slowly found a way into the game and came close when Mark Gilmour sent a free-kick just over the bar, and a Scott Clelland shot fizzed wide.
