NORTH Ayrshire bowler Martin Williamson is celebrating after helping Scotland secure major success in a prestigious event in England.
Martin (25) from Irvine, who plays for Ardrossan Indoor BC and outdoors for Irvine Park BC was in the team who won the Home International title at Stanley Bowling Club.
They defeated Wales 119-91 and then ran out 116-88 winners against Ireland before seeing off Auld Enemy England by 43 shots in the final match.
Martin’s successes follow his wins in the Scottish Rinks Championships and Junior Singles Championships, He said: “Scotland played really well and it was especially satisfying to seal it."
