FULLARTON Wheelers Cycling Club celebrated retaining the Georgetown Cup on Saturday.
This is the third year running that the Ayrshire club have won the largest time trial event in Scotland, and again this year they broke the course record.
The event, in which the top eight individual times count, is run over a 7.1 mile course at Inchinnan near Glasgow Airport.
The club were delighted with the success in an event which is considered one of the most prestigious of its kind in the cycling calendar.
The team were presented with the Cup by long-distance British cyclist and adventurer Mark Beaumont.
Gold: Fullarton Wheelers 2.10.32 Silver: Glasgow Nightingale CC 2.11.55 Bronze: Glasgow Green Cycle Club 2.13.35 On Sunday it was the Youths’ turn, as a healthy contingent took to the roads as part of the annual Pedal for Scotland ride. The kids looked great in their FWCC colours as they rode the 54 mile course from Glasgow to Edinburgh along with their parents.
Some superb riding in great weather ended at Murrayfield stadium. Organisers congratulate the youngsters on their excellent performances.
