TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER - ARGYLL AND BUTE COUNCIL (A814 GARELOCHHEAD TO ARROCHAR, C69 GLEN DOUGLAS ROAD) (RURAL CLEARWAY) ORDER 2021
On Monday the 25th of October 2021, Argyll and Bute Council made the above-named Order in terms of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which comes into operation on 20th of December 2021, is required in the interests of maintaining access and safety, is proposing to make a Traffic Regulation Order to introduce a Rural Clearway on the A814 between Garelochhead to Arrochar, and C69 Glen Douglas to the extents of the Inhabited Building Distances (IBDs'l associated with the Ministry of Defence facilities for the following reasons:
* To minimise the risk to the public traveling through the IBDs' during logistic operations associated with the Ministry of Defence facilities.
* Retain access for through traffic; and
* Support national security and public safety.

Any person, who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from the 4th November 2021, apply to the Court of Session for this purpose.
