NEWPORT CITY COUNCIL (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING

AND LOADING AND ON STREET PARKING PLACES) (CIVIL ENFORCEMENT) (AMENDMENT No.2) (STREET PARKING PLACES FOR DISABLED PERSONS) ORDER 2021 TAKE NOTICE that Newport City Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1), 2 (1) to (3), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49, 53 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as "the 1984 Act"), Part 6 of the Traffic Management Act 2004 (hereinafter referred to as "the 2004 Act") and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police has on 16 December 2021 made the above Order. The Order will come into operation 23 December 2021. The effect of the Order will be to implement parking spaces for disabled persons on the highway at the locations listed in Schedule 1 to this Notice, to remove parking spaces for disabled persons at the locations listed in Schedule 2, and to amend a parking bay for residents at Corporation Road to allow for a disabled space, as specified in Schedule 3. The order amends the Newport City Council (Prohibition And Restriction Of Waiting And Loading And On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement) Order 2019 in that the Map Schedules have been amended and replacement map tiles inserted. The Order, and a map showing the affected roads may be inspected at the offices of Newport City Council, Civic Centre, Newport during normal office hours Monday to Friday by prior appointment or copies can be provided by email. If you wish to question the validity of the Orders, or of any provision contained in them, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, you may, within six weeks from 16 December 2021 apply to the High Court for this purpose.

SCHEDULE 3 Corporation Road - Resident Permit Parking Bay Zone BC (Mon-Sat 8:00am to 8:00pm)

a) Remove that section only of resident permit parking bay outside No.15 Corporation Road from its property boundary line with No.13 Corporation Road to its property boundary line with No.17 Corporation Road, a distance of approximately 6.2 metres.



b) Existing 58 metres section of resident permit parking bay outside properties No.1 to No.17 Corporation Road shall be amended to show two new lengths of:-



i) 45.7 metres from its existing location at No.1 Corporation Road to the common property boundary line of Nos.13 and 15 Corporation Road, and



ii) 6.1 metres from the common property boundary line of Nos.15 and 17 Corporation Road to the common property boundary line of Nos.17 and 19 Corporation Road.

Bydd y gorchymyn yn diwygio Gorchymyn Cyngor Dinas Casnewydd (Gwahardd a Chyfyngu ar Aros a Llwytho a Mannau Parcio ar y Stryd) (Gorfodi Sifil) 2019 gan y caiff yr Atodlenni Map eu diwygio a'r teils map newydd eu mewnosod. Gellir archwilio'r Gorchymyn, ynghyd a map yn dangos y ffyrdd yr effeithir arnynt yn swyddfeydd Cyngor Dinas Casnewydd yn y Ganolfan Ddinesig, Casnewydd yn ystod oriau swyddfa arferol o ddydd Llun i ddydd Gwener drwy apwyntiad neu gellir darparu copfau drwy e-bost.
