PLANS to extend Whitehirst Park Primary have been given the go ahead in a bid to reduce the school's class sizes.
The £600,000 extension will create extra classroom and playground space in a project which is the first in a rolling programme across North Ayrshire.
Two "class bases", toilets, cloakrooms and an activity area will all be located within the single-storey extension, which will be constructed to the north of the school building.
