The council's Bridgegate office will become their "one stop shop" Customer Service Centre - and their Perceton office will be sold off, if plans go ahead.

The moves, part of a drive to save £2.5m from council properties, will also see Cunninghame House turned into a headquarters for all the 'back room' functions of the council - if proposals get the rubber stamp from councillors at a meeting as this goes to press.

If approved, the town centre Bridgegate office would get a Customer Service Centre on the ground floor - relocating many front-facing services into a central office, which NAC say would help to regenerate the town centre by increasing the number of council staff visiting local shops.
