THE Scottish Maritime Museum’s Linthouse building will be closed for the next two months.
The Irvine building will re-open on Saturday, March 1 with other services provided by the museum still available for the public to use.
The Boat Shop and Puffers Cafe are still open as usual with tours of the tenement flat and the Spartan ship (weather dependent) will run as usual from the Boat Shop.
However, the museum will be hosting special drawing and painting classes in the Linthouse building over the next three months. On Saturday, January 25, Saturday, February 22 and Saturday, March 22, budding artists can take part in the classes taught by Sue Wilkinson between 10.30am-4pm.
The day classes introduce watercolour, drawing and mixed media. The classes cost £45 per day which includes museum entry, materials and refreshments.
However there is a discount for those who book more than one day. For more information contact Sue on 01294 277282 or Anna Clarke at the museum on 01294 278283.
