A PAIR of youths have been accused of stealing copper wire from a building at the heart of Irvine's town centre regeneration.
Dylan Chapman, 18, and Sean McDonald, 17, are accused of acting along with one another to steal copper wire from Bridgegate House on September 30, last year.
The building was in the second phase of a multi-million pound refurbishment at the time of the alleged offence, as part of the Bridgegate regeneration project, officially completed in November.
Chapman, of Bernerea Street, Glasgow, made no plea at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.
McDonald, of Green Street, Saltcoats, pled not guilty and is due to stand trial in August.
