A KILWINNING youth is set to stand trial for allegedly punching a bus stop and trying to bite a police officer.
Alexis Cunningham, 17, is accused of shouting, swearing and punching a bus stop at Townhead Street, Stevenston on March 14.
When police became involved, it is alleged that she struggled violently with two officers, tensed her arms and lashed out with her arms and legs.
She is then accused of repeatedly trying to bite one of the officers.
Cunningham, of Church Street, denied charges of assault, resisting police and behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.
She will stand trial in November.
