SCHOOL pupils visiting Irvine from France on an exchange programme were treated to three days of drama and laughter workshops last week.
Their town, Voisins-le-Bretonneux, is twinned with Irvine and the workshops were set up at the Redburn Youth Centre by Ayrshire company Well Happy.
The 11 pupils and three adults were in Irvine for a week.
Yolette Boullanger, youth services and prevention worker in Voisins-le-Bretonneux, was delighted with the activities on offer.
She told the organisers: "Thank you for detoxing and relaxing our children from stress. It was lovely to share this time with others, with depth and lightheartedness." Kenny Harrow, Community Education Worker at the Redburn Youth Centre, added: "It was a fantastic few days and it was good to see all the kids mix and enjoy themselves with a smile on their faces and it was good for the young Scottish people to meet and learn about new cultures and meet new people."
