A CONCERT held in memory of a tragic Kilwinning man has raised over £1,600 for his baby daughter.
The life of Andrew Gallacher - who died in June this year - was celebrated with a concert at Woodwynd Community Centre on Saturday, September 20.
The hall was packed out for the fantastic songs of A Tribute to Freddie Mercury in aid of the Olivia Gallacher Fund.
And in total the show raised an incredible £1,640 for the fund.
Andrew initially went missing which prompted a nationwide appeal to find him. But tragically the 20-year-old’s body was discovered in a wooded area a few days later near to Dubbs Road, Kilwinning.
ACES Woodwynd helped to stage the event and have thanked local businesses for their support.
A post on the group’s Facebook page said: “We would like to thank the following for their kind support and hard work, which helped us raise a final total of £1,640 on Saturday: “North Ayrshire Council, Cakes & Dreams, Intrigue, Thorne Travel, Charles Alexander Hairdressers, Goody 2 Shoes, Undercutz, Divaz Daughters, Anteriors, Hair Affair, Coop Kilwinning, Cute K9’s, Star Mobiles, Revels, The Gleam Machine, Eye Candy, Cut & Dry, Michelle Young, Black Flag Tattoo, PNN events, Craig John who drove from Hereford to be there and all ACES volunteers and bar staff.”
