AN IRVINE youngster had an unforgettable meeting with his hero recently.

Jackson Waddell, 4, met funnyman Kevin Bridges at his book signing at the St Enoch Centre in Glasgow last Saturday.

The youngster is a huge fan of the popular Scots comic and waited for over TWO hours to talk to his idol.

Whilst in the queue, his aunt tweeted a picture of Jackson waiting to Kevin who responded saying how much he was looking forward to meeting him.

And it was certainly worth the wait as Kevin didn't only pose for pictures but presented Jackson with two boxes of Lego.

Mum Jacqueline shared Jackson's experience with the Times and revealed how her son was bursting with confidence after meeting Kevin.

She said: "My son is only four and daft for Kevin Bridges.

"When we were waiting in the queue my sister tweeted a picture of Jackson waiting and after 10 minutes he tweeted back to say he was looking forward to meeting him!

"After waiting for over two hours we were asked to make our way to the front of the queue. Once we were at the signing and approached the desk Kevin immediately asked 'Is this Jackson?' "He then proceeded to give him two boxes of Lego! Jackson was full of confidence and shook his hand and posed for pictures.

"He's a genuine guy who made my son a very happy boy."
