COMMUNITY groups in Irvine and Kilwinning have been given a cash boost right before Christmas.
A number of organisations including sports clubs and schools have been awarded grants from North Ayrshire Council’s Community Development Grants.
The biggest of which was awarded to Kilwinning Weightlifting Club and Ayrshire Healthy Living Enterprise who gained £2,000 and £2,100 respectively.
The awards were revealed at the most recent meetings of Irvine and Kilwinning Area Committees earlier this month.
Community Development Grants have also been awarded to Drybridge Hall Management Association (£1,401.50), Kilwinning-based Youth Under Construction (£756.25), Haysholm School Parent Council (£873) and HCPT Group 207 (£360).
