AN IRVINE PRIMARY school is celebrating after its parent council donated £2,500 from a fundraiser.
The parent’s council of Elderbank Primary School raised the large sum due to holding a very successful Christmas Fayre selling a wide variety of items with some festive cheer.
The school, which is based in the Broomlands area, is a new building which is still in its first year after officially opening in August 2014.
The Christmas Fayre was the first event which the parent council had organised and the money raised will be used for summer and educational trips for the pupils as well as helping with the school’s funds.
