SCOTRAIL have warned Irvine passengers they may face disruption due to improvement work.
The rail network previously announced plans to provide a further 43 standard and three disabled parking bays to the existing car park, boosting the capacity by more than half.
When the work reaches its peak in the second week of May, half of the car parking spaces will be temporarily unavailable but the necessary disruption is only expected to last for five days.
Construction began in early March and in total is expected to last 12 weeks.
Planners hope the extended car park will be completed by mid-May.
The full project is due to be completed by then and ScotRail has created a webpage with more information if there are any queries on www.scotrail. co.uk/irvinecarpark
