CROSSHOUSE Hospital has received a bumper cash boost thanks to a kind-hearted staff member.
The Gyn-oncology ward at Crosshouse has been given £2,200 from staff nurse Jacqui Houston, along with her sister, Rona and brother-in-law John Unwin.
The family, who are from Ayrshire, raise money for different charities every year with their annual fundraiser. This year they decided to donate the money to the Gyn-oncology service.
This year they managed to raise £1,200, which was kindly matched by Rona and John’s employer, Chivas Brothers Ltd, to bring the total to a fantastic £2,200.
Rhona Scott, Gyn-oncology Nurse Specialist, commented: “We would like to say a big thank you to Jacqui, Rona, John and everyone who was involved for this kind donation.
"The money raised will go towards providing additional support and equipment for our patients.”
