IRVINE and Dreghorn Brass Band recently raised almost £400 for the Ayrshire Hospice.
The big-hearted band members made the donation through the sales of their musical advent calendar and Christmas CD.
And the band managed to raise £370 for the charity.
Treasurer Kelda McMichael said: “We really wanted to do something for the Ayrshire Hospice, and since we are always out and about and busy during the Christmas period, we thought we’d combine the two.
“We had a great time recording the CD & advent calendar. Thanks to all who supported our Christmas campaign!”
Hospice fundraising officer Robert Flynn added: “Thanks to the band and their supporters.”
The band have also announced they will be holding a free concert at the Irvine Old Parish Church on Sunday, March 6 at 7pm, with music from both the senior and juniors bands.
