POLICE have named a 23-year-old man who died following a road crash on the A737 at Beith as Ross Quinn of Kilwinning.
The young motorcyclist was riding his Aprilia bike southbound on the A737 near its junction with the B777 at Gateside Road at around 6.35pm on Wednesday, August 10 when it appears that the motorcycle lost control and collided with a northbound Mercedes sprinter van and a northbound BMW 3 series.
Mr Quinn was pronounced dead at the scene.
Relatives have been made aware.
A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Sergeant Iain Pittams is re-appealing for any witnesses to the crash to contact the Divisional Road Policing Unit at Irvine on 101.
