An elderly woman has been left “badly shaken” after she was mugged in a Kilwinning underpass in broad daylight this afternoon (Monday, July 10).
Police received a report of a robbery of a woman in a pedestrian underpass near Pennyburn Road at around 12 noon.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “The lady did not require medical treatment but has been left badly shaken by this incident.
"Officers are continuing to carry out enquiries, which are ongoing.”
