Former members of Friends of the Harbour Arts Centre presented a cheque to the new creative arts company Eye Spy Ayrshire last week.

The £465, left over when Friends of the HAC folded recently, was handed over to Neil Smith, chair of the new charity which aims to make creative arts accessible for all in Ayrshire.

Neil said: “We are very grateful to the Friends of the HAC for this donation, which will help us establish an arts hub in North Ayrshire to run a range of arts programmes and events.

“Our aim is to make creative arts - including film, theatre, dance and the associated production skills - available free to people of all ages in some of Scotland’s most deprived areas.

“We hope to make further exciting announcements about some exciting projects for North Ayrshire very soon.”
