A 44-year-old man has avoided prison admitting to brandishing a hammer on an Irvine street.
Dale McIlroy pled guilty to two charges at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.
McIlroy admitted to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner within his home street of Ballot Road on August 9, in that he shouted swore and brandished a hammer.
He also admitted to being in possession of an offensive weapon, namely a hammer, in a public place.
McIlroy was given a Community Payback Order with two years supervision as a direct alternative to imprisonment
