AHOY me hearties!

Pirates are taking over Irvine’s Scottish Maritime Museum this month for a weekend-long festival of fun.

Pirate Takeover is on from Saturday, May 19 and Sunday, May 20 in celebration of the most fun-filled, national Festival of Museums ever.

There’ll be lots of swashbuckling fun for children of all ages and their families from 11am to 4pm each day at the Scottish Maritime Museum on Harbour Road in Irvine.

As usual up to three children go FREE with every adult admission making the museum great value as well as a whole lot of fun. Parking is free and the museum is just five minutes walk from Irvine train station.

Activities throughout the weekend-long Pirate Takeover include a pirate trail, face painting, a bouncy pirate ship, fun games and crafts including origami and more.
