A FUNDRAISER for a Kilwinning schoolboy fighting five brain tumours has been a huge success.
The Race Night was held in the Woodwynd Community Centre on Saturday, May 12, to raise money for 12-year-old Kieran Crichton.
The schoolboy was diagnosed with a rare cancer after failing to recover from a suspected winter sick bug.
Mum Senga, 48, has been supported by the Kilwinning community ever since an MRI scan revealed her son had an aggressive form ofmedulloblastoma.
Kieran, who is in Glasgow’s Royal Hospital for Sick Children, is having chemo and radiotherapy and the community has been rallying to raise money to cover any medical costs the family might incur.
The money from Saturday’s fundraiser is still being counted but it is expected to have raised hundreds of pounds for the Kilwinning Academy pupil.
