Firefighters are still at the scene after Irvine's Bogside was set ablaze last night.
A single fire engine attended the grass fires on Tuesday evening - with the billowing smoke from the blaze reaching residents of Irvine's Harbourside.
Fire crews attended the scene again early this morning to bring the blaze under control.
A spokesman said: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 6.28pm on Tuesday, June 12 to reports of a grass fire in Irvine.
“Operations Control mobilised a single fire engines to the scene at Bogside, where crews worked to bring the fire under control.
“Firefighters returned to the scene at 5.50am on Wednesday, June 13 and crews currently remain in attendance.
“There are no casualties.”
