THE council’s award-winning holiday school meals service returns over the summer break.
Lunches will be served throughout the summer holidays at a number of locations right across the council area.
As well as providing a nutritious meal, an hour of physical activity will be provided during the sessions to allow the children to have fun and a run around with their friends – ensuring they stay fit and active outwith the school term.
Councillor Jim Montgomerie, Cabinet Member for Place, said: “We are very proud of this scheme and delighted it has helped so many families since it was introduced a number of years ago.
“It has evolved over the years with more community groups getting involved and it really is going from strength to strength.
“We are a child-centred council and the holiday scheme underlines our absolute commitment to putting children first. It is having a positive impact on our young people.”
