A BATTLING schoolboy fighting five brain tumours paid a visit to his old primary school in the last week of term to join in the end of year fun.
Kieran Crichton was diagnosed with a rare case of Medulloblastoma – a brain cancer which mainly affects children back in February.
The 12-year-old has been fighting for his life ever since his diagnosis.
And his bravery has left the whole of Kilwinning rooting for him – and earned him the nickname “Wee Warrior”.
The schoolboy, who also has autism, has already undergone an operation at Glasgow’s Royal Hospital for Sick Children on March 2, to remove the biggest tumour and was left unable to speak or walk following the surgery.
However determined Kieran has managed to learn to speak again and managed to visit both Kilwinning Academy, where is is a pupil, and his former school, Corsehill Primary.
Last week, Kieran joined his old teachers and pupils for their Crazy Hair Day where Kieran was guest of honour and tasked with judging the best mad hairdos.
Kieran is currently back in Glasgow’s Royal Hospital for Sick Children, where is is undergoing a gruelling course of chemotherapy after a six week break from treatment at his home in Kilwinning.
