A Kilwinning pervert who admitted to possessing child pornography has dodged a jail term.
John Finnigan, 53, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court this week for sentencing, having previously pled guilty to three charges.
Finnigan took or permitted to be taken indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of children between April 29, 2015, and June 22, 2017, both dates inclusive at his home in Sundrum Place.
The 53-year-old also had in his possession indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of children during the same time period.
Finnigan also admitted to breaching a bail condition by failing to appear at a court diet without reasonable excuse on June 23, 2017.
Finnigan was ordered by the sheriff to carry out 300 hours of unpaid work in the community within six months and subject to three years supervision.
