Kilwinning is all set for another grand Picnic in the Park after the success of last year’s event.


Picnic in the Park will be back on Thursday, August 9 from 11.30am to 4.30pm this year in McGavin Park.


While much of the event is free, use of inflatables and kids rides require a wrist band priced at £7 for those over three years old.

Free activities on the day will include kids shows by Uncle Billy and Fabulous Fraser, balloon art, KA Leisure, Police and Fire safety, youth services, Kilwinning Sports Club and Active Schools.


Free tea and coffee will be available from 1pm to 3pm to those who bring their own cup to the Pavilion. If you bring your own water bottle you can top it up.


Parking will be limited so please follow signage and stewards instructions on the day.
Cycle parking will be available in the park on the day.
No glass bottles or alcohol allowed in the park during the event.
