THE FAMILY of a Kilwinning teenager fighting five brain tumours say he could be cancer free after his next round of chemotherapy.
Kieran Crichton was diagnosed with a rare form of Medulloblastoma in March and left unable to walk, speak or swallow after having the biggest tumour removed.
Since then the brave 13-year-old has amazed medics with his determination to fight back and his latest MRI results have shown that his tumours are shrinking rapidly – so much so that he might only need one more round of treatment,
Mum Senga said: “The doctor’s don’t want to make any promises. They are scared to say the cancer will definitely all be away, but they have said it will be more manageable. But the tumours have shrank a lot already and after this round and the next we hope it will all be away.”
This weekend staff from Aldo’s in Kilwinning climbed Goatfell on Arran to raise money for Kieran’s fund. To sponsor them visit https://www.gofundme.com/aldosgoatfellclimb
