Masked men broke into an Irvine golf club over the weekend stealing clothing valued at a four-figure sum.
Police are appealing for information after Western Gailes Golf Club was broken into and a quantity of clothing was stolen last night, Sunday, 23 September 2018.
At around 11.40pm officers were called out after a report that the Professional's Shop had been broken into and a quantity of distinctive jackets and outerwear, worth a four-figure sum, had been stolen.
At least two men, described as wearing dark clothing, gloves and balaclava masks are believed to be responsible for the theft.
Detective Constable Sarah Holland, the officer in charge of the enquiry, is appealing for information.
She said: "I am urging anyone who was in the Gailes area around the time of the break-in and noticed anyone acting suspiciously to get in touch via 101 quoting incident 4551 of 23/9/2018."
