Julie and Alexander Graham held a fundraiser recently at the Irvine Legion Branch where they raised almost £2,000.
Alexander lost both his hands and suffered horrific injuries while serving in Her Majesty's forces.
Now he and Julie are about to take on The Nepalites 14 day challenge to Annapurna.
They will be setting off later this year to Nepal. To trek Annapurna, the worlds 10th highest peak in aid of Children in Need, The Gurka Welfare Trust, The Veterans Charity and the Wycombe Homeless Connection.
Everyone enjoyed a brilliant charity games day at the RBL Irvine and both Alexander and Julie would like to thank everyone who took part and helped raise an incredible amount for there chosen charities.
Alexander said: "I'm most humbled by your generosity and participation.
A special mention for Alec Wroe in getting the ball rolling, Callum Innes in making sure that it went ahead smoothly, Tam for breakfast, the Killie Piper, Warren Graham, for piping the start of the games and all the guys/girls who worked behind the scenes in ensuring that we had raffle and auction full of wonderful prizes.
"For some the excitement of the day was a bit too much for them and decided to take a little nap while East Ayrshire Provost Jim Todd thoroughly enjoyed the fundraiser and wished them both well on there adventure."
