KILWINNING Burns Club held its annual committee dinner recently at the Blacklands Institute.
President Scott Gallacher welcomed members and guests to this, the first official event of the new season, on Friday, October 5.
Speakers on the night were Deputy Provost Robert Barr who gave the Toast to Scotland, criminal lawyer Richard Allan, who gave the Toast to the Club, and Councillor Donald L Reid, who entertained guests with his recitals of the poems of Robert W Service.
The music on the night was supplied by Lochwinnoch man Wullie Gamble, and by regular pianist Scott McGill, who had travelled form Aberdeen especially for the dinner.
