Police are on the hunt after a man was left with serious facial injuries following an incident in Irvine early on Sunday morning.
Shortly after 2.30am, police were called to reports of an ongoing disturbance in the town’s Bank Street where two people were assaulted.
Whilst they were carrying out enquiries into this they came across a man on the High Street who had serious head and facial injuries.
Details about how he came about these injuries are not yet known and enquiries are ongoing into both incidents.
Police say that the two incidents are not connected.
