TALENTED Ayr showjumper scored a major success in a prestigious event.
Isla Stewart outpaced all her rivals to triumph in the Dodson & Horrell 85cm National Amateur Second Round on Bruntons Rising Star.
A third of the initial 22 starters made it through to course designer Lee Roebuck’s jump-off, and it was all about the clock as six provided double clears.
But Isla was quickest of them all, sprinting ahead to win by 3.28 seconds on Lucinda Stewart’s Bruntons Rising Star, a 10-year-old bay gelding she has competed for the past two years.

1 Isla Stewart & Bruntons Rising Star – 0/0 – 35.92 seconds; 2 Melissa Cairns & Gwernfthan Flash – 0/0 – 39.20 seconds; 3 Alison Clinton & Zillah – 0/0 – 44.06 seconds; 4 Stephanie Cord & Nux D’Amour – 0/0 – 44.61 seconds; 5 Estelle Brain & Chiricahua – 0/0 – 46.19 seconds; 6 Estelle Brain & FH Betty – 0/0 – 47.85 seconds; 7 Caroline Caldwell & Second Choice – 0/8 – 41.87 seconds.
