LIAM Charles tries to make the perfect brownie, creates a cheesecake inspired by his favourite rhubarb and custard sweets, and concocts a savoury doughnut slider with his brother Ashley, filled with crispy katsu chicken and Asian-inspired coleslaw. It’s a show in which the former Great British Bake Off contestant tries to bring a fresh perspective to baking with recipes that blend pop culture, nostalgia and his Jamaican heritage.

LINE of Duty star Adrian Dunbar has signed up for another thriller – and the good news for anyone hooked after the first episode is that it’s showing across the week. Carolina Main co-stars as Cat, who has spent 10 years trying to avoid her family but is forced to return to rural Ireland by the sudden death of her mother, who fell while walking in the garden. It seems like a tragic accident but Cat has unanswered questions, including why her mother, who had motor neurone disease, was left alone all day.

Poisoning America: The Devil We Know: Storyville, BBC4, 9pm

IN 2000 in the West Virginia town of Parkersburg, home to a sprawling chemical plant, teacher Joe Kiger found a letter with his water bill saying that the chemical C8 was present in his drinking water but it was safe to consume. Kiger decided to do some digging and his investigations, along with those of farmer Wilbur Tennant, played a role in Parkersburg becoming the epicentre of one of the largest class action lawsuits in the history of environmental law.

24 Hours in A&E, C4, 9pm

THIS edition focuses on a mother’s role in different family units. Jacob, 20, arrives in resus with suspected internal bleeding after crashing his car into a wall at high speed. Joan, 82, is treated for a head wound after tripping down the stairs at home, and seven-year-old Jackson has a suspected infection on his cheek. Documentary following life at the A&E department of St George’s in south-west London, focusing on patients, their families and the staff.
