A bag thief has been spared sentencing for a drunken act at Craig Tara.
Maria Gardiner appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court on Tuesday, November 20 after pleading guilty to stealing a handbag from a holiday maker at the Ayr caravan park.
The 40-year-old tried to hide the bag in a nearby bush after a witness became suspicious.
Defending Gardiner, Mr Cameron told the court that drink played a part in his client's actions. He said: "She had had a considerable amount of alcohol but she did come to her senses and to her credit she is now in a programme to address this."
Sheriff Mhari Mactaggart told Gardiner: "That is appalling behaviour", and decided to defer sentencing until February 2019 for her to be of good behaviour.
