Colleagues have rallied round to wish a Kilwinning councillor well after having to take time off for open heart surgery.
Conservative Cllr John Glover, was wished a quick recovery following his operation by fellow members of the Police and Fire and Rescue Committee last week, with chair Cllr Donald Reid passing around a card for the members to sign.
Conservative colleague Cllr Scott Gallacher said: “John is in for open heart surgery. Obviously the group wish him a speedy recovery, and look forward to him being back in the fold soon.”
Cllr Gover, a regular attendee at Kilwinning Community Council, was also wished well by the local body, with its secretary writing: "Kilwinning Community Council would like to offer its best wishes to Cllr Glover after learning he is in hospital for heart surgery.
"We wish him a speedy recovery and hope he is back on his feet soon."
