There will be no direct trains running from Ayrshire to Glasgow at weekends throughout the whole month of January.
Buses will replace services from Paisley Gilmour Street every Saturday and Sunday of the first month of 2019 due to track and signalling works taking place near to Paisley.
This means that all passengers travelling on trains from Ayr, Ardrossan and Largs will have to complete their journeys to Scotland’s biggest city and beyond via replacement buses.
Commuters are being told to expect longer journey times and also being warned that the replacement buses may arrive or depart earlier or later than the advertised train times.
Scotrail have also said that passengers travelling from Largs or Ardrossan will be required to change trains at Kilwinning in order to continue their onwards journey.
For more information on the works, visit scotrail.co.uk or you can or download their app to check your own journey.
