A Health worker has been appeared in court charged with wasting police time following an alleged stabbing at Ailsa Hospital in Ayr last month.
A huge police investigation was launched on November 22 after the shocking incident but nobody was arrested despite a massive hunt by officers.
42-year-old Donna Maxwell from Irvine appeared in private at Ayr Sheriff Court this afternoon.
She made no plea and was released on bail and is expected to appear again at a later date.
