Runners enjoy Beith 10k race
A number of North Ayrshire athletes took to the streets for the first time in 2019 to tackle the Beith 10k.
In what was a great event on a freezing morning North Ayrshire Atheltics Club’s Ian McIlwraith, Suzanne Dickson, Sharon Law, Mark Preston and Douglas Rae took part.
The course has been changed to a route round the country roads with a climb in the first 5k then a nice downhill section.
Suzanne got a PB which is a good sign for the year ahead. Mark had a great run in just over 39 mins. Quite a few of the NAAC kids ran too with Alistair Street winning his 1,500m race. Isla McIlwraith had a great race and loved competing for the club.
