One of the UK’s leading vape and e-cigarette reviewers has been left on the brink of quitting after £10,000 of equipment and products were stolen from his Irvine studio.

Victor Mullin, known for his popular Youtube channel ‘Vaping with Vic’ was left reeling after his Bank Street premises was all but wiped out and he believes this could be a targeted theft.

Vic spoke of the incident from last Thursday and said: “Whoever did it knew their ecig stuff. The shelves behind me were re-arranged yesterday and a lot of stuff was moved around.

The ‘Labrys JNR’ that was stolen retails for about £260...but everything else was left on the display shelves, the cheaper items were left on the desk, but the blue camp g class and a few others were lifted.

“They also picked the perfect time to hit the studio, £1,500 (retail) of Asmodus gear had arrived yesterday morning, all of that was taken as well, it’s looking more and more like a targeted hit.”

Victor is taking a break from his channel, which has twice seen him crowned the UK’s ecig reviewer of the year, as all of his recording equipment was also stolen but will be back in action sooner than first thought after fans raised over £4,000 to help him buy more equipment.

These products, which includes cameras, microphones and his computer equipment, are worth around £5,000 with the review products and other equipment worth north of £4,000.

Vic added: “What does this mean for the channel? Well, as of today everything has stopped. There’s nothing in to review and nothing to record the reviews with. Replacing the recording equipment will take time, and I will need to go over everything in the studio once forensics have given it a once over to sort everything out.”

Chief Inspector Brian Shaw of North Ayrshire said: “Enquiries are ongoing into this incident but we have no positive lines of enquiry as of yet. Any information on any items, if you see them being sold in any premises, then call 101.”
