A man who kicked his own dad’s front door calling him a “beast” is awaiting sentence.
Stephen McGettigan stormed his dad’s home in Dirrans Terrace, Kilwinning demanding to be let in on July 8 last year.
Kilmarnock Sheriff Court heard how the furious 26-year-old headbutted a glass door in a fit of rage, calling his own dad a “f*****g beast”
Fiscal depute Katy McCall told the court: “The accused attended at his father’s address about 11.30am. The accused’s father was not at home but the female complainer was within the home when he began demanding entry.
“The accused approached the glass partition of the front door and began to headbutt it and kick it in a violent manner while shouting at his father. The accused was referring to his father as a “f*****g beast.
“The accused continued to shout and swear and demand entry."
The case was adjourned for reports until next month.
McGettigan of Victoria House, Boyle Street in Irvine was bailed.
