A man who assaulted a policeman and made threats has been jailed for six months.
William Falconer spat on and kicked the officer at The Braes in Saltcoats on January 16. He then resisted, obstructed or hindered two police constables and struggled with them.
On the same date at Iceland, The Braes, and while in a police vehicle, Falconer behaved in a threatening and abusive manner. The 33-year-old shouted, swore, acted aggressively, repeatedly kicked a door and uttered threats.
Falconer, of Glebe Street in Saltcoats, pled guilty to three charges at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week. His not guilty plea to a fourth charge was accepted by the prosecutor.
